Product Overview

The SR501 is a microcomputer automatic controller, specially designed for integrated non-pressurized solar water heating systems.

It is developed with the latest NEC high-performance microcontroller to achieve intelligent automatic control of solar water heaters. All internal components adopt industrial-grade standards, which can operate stably in cold, high-temperature and humid harsh environments. Equipped with a dedicated clock chip, it achieves accurate time control. With an LCD liquid crystal display, it features beautiful appearance, stable and reliable performance, easy installation, making it the ideal matching control product for integrated non-pressurized solar water heaters.

How It Works (Core Working Principle & Operation Logic)

1. Temperature & Water Level Detection System

The controller continuously monitors real-time temperature data of the solar collector tubes and water tank through built-in temperature sensors, and detects water level through water level sensors.

It supports a temperature measurement range of 0~99℃, with temperature measurement accuracy of ±1℃ and temperature control accuracy of ±2℃. According to the collected temperature and water level data, it automatically judges the operating status of the solar system, and executes automatic water filling, heating, heat preservation and protection actions accordingly.

2. Automatic Water Supply & Pressure Adaptation Working Logic

It controls the water inlet solenoid valve and water filling pump to complete intelligent water filling:

  • Supports 2 types of solenoid valves: DC12V / AC220V optional pressure valve and low-pressure valve.

  • Pressure valve: Working pressure 0.02~0.8MPa, for direct municipal water supply systems.

  • Low-pressure valve: For water tank supply and low-water-pressure environments.

  • LWPR Low water pressure protection: Automatically stops water filling when water pressure is too low to avoid equipment damage.

  • Overflow protection: Automatically cuts off water supply once the water tank is full to prevent water overflow and waste.

  • CWL Constant water level filling: Preset 100% water level of tank for automatic filling.

  • LWS/LWSD: Preset water level and delay time for water filling when tank is lack of water, effectively protecting the pump and pipeline from idling damage.

  • Supports manual water supply and compulsive emergency water supply modes.

3. Timed Intelligent Heating & Anti-freeze Protection

  • Supports 3 time-period programmable timed water supply & timed electric heating control. Users can set independent time periods for automatic water filling and auxiliary electric heating according to daily water usage habits.

  • Equipped with manual electric heating control mode.

  • CTH Constant temperature heating function: Maintains water temperature at preset level.

  • AH Automatic thermostat function: Automatically maintains water temperature.

  • TKPR Tank high-temperature protection: Automatically stops electric heating when overheated to avoid safety hazards.

  • High-temperature protection of collector tube: Prevents overheating damage.

  • CFR Tank anti-freezing protection: Automatically runs anti-freeze programs under low-temperature conditions.

  • Pipe anti-freezing protection function: Prevents pipeline freezing and blockage in winter.

4. Hot Water Circulation System Control

The controller can control the hot water circulation pump to realize pipeline hot water circulation operation. TCYC function allows recirculation by temperature/flow within three time-sections, keeping hot water circulating in the pipeline for instant hot water output and improved user experience.

5. Humanized Function & Safety Protection Mechanism

  • Built-in precise real-time clock display, ensuring all timed actions run accurately.

  • UNIT: Supports free switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

  • BEEP: Equipped with buzzer fault alarm function: Automatically emits sound alarm when system abnormalities and faults occur.

  • OTDI: Thermal disinfection function for water hygiene.

  • Memory protection: All user setting parameters will be permanently saved after power failure, no need to reset after power-on restart.

  • Screen protection function: Automatically enters screen-saving standby mode when idle, reducing power consumption and extending LCD service life.

  • Error code description: Provides clear error codes for easy troubleshooting.

  • Factory reset manually function: Allows users to restore to factory settings.

  • Sensor sensitivity adjustment: Adjustable temperature and water level sensor sensitivity.
